"Flugzeugunfälle und Verluste bei den Verbänden"

#1

Post by Natter » 12 Feb 2015, 16:21

I have the "Flugzeugunfälle und Verluste bei den Verbänden" - a list of LW-losses from 1939 to 1945 (about 8000 pages) on 26 pdf-files, orignating from microfilm at IWM, London.
Three of the files are damaged though and can't be read. Does anyone have the same collection and maybe willing/able to share the relevant files (no 11, 12 and 15)?

Reason: Flugzeugunfälle - not Flugzeugenfälle

Hello Natter,
unfortunately I can't help you... I'm looking for the list "Flugzeugunfälle und Verluste bei den Verbänden" of December 1944, maybe you are willing to help me with that.
Thank you very much.

I have some alike-looks files, in pdf-format with numbers. And i have Nos 11 and 12, data starts with 3.9.42 and ends 2.1.43. This is what you looking for?

Thank you for the feedback. I have now got a copy of the damaged files from a contact here in Norway!

Hi guys, could you advise me, please, where I could obtain a copy of the discussed source in whatever form possible (PDF, XLS, ...)? I'm specifically interested in incidents that occurred in Slovakia, but it would be nice to have it also as a crosscheck source for possible victories of the Czechoslovak airmen in the RAF. Thanks a lot.

Thank you very much! This helps a lot, unfortunately not that much in my case. Do you, by any chance, know why the larger part of the year 1944 is missing? Is the IWM source in London incomplete or is there another reason for this?

Researchers and historians have been looking for the missing parts covering 1944 for 75 years now, but without any luck. The consensus is that the 1944 reports were accidentally destroyed or lost in 1945 or they were taken by an Allied soldier as booty (loot). No trace of them has ever been found.
