Hello Larry
I am only sharing photos which are already in sharing on other websites. It disturbs you, then I stop.

Re: Luftwaffe emblems photos
It does not "disturb" me. However, a moderator should determine the legality of posting un-credited drawings and photos here. No point in anyone getting into trouble.
These emblems and photos have appeared in dozens and dozens of books and modeling magazines since the late 1950's, and on many websites since the late 1990's. IMO, rehashing all this here serves no purpose unless the emblems and photos are previously unknown and only just discovered.

Re: Luftwaffe emblems photos
I understand the necessity of sufficient credit information.
However, not everyone has "dozens and dozens of books and modeling magazines" and - for my part - it helps to find the emblems combined with a photo on a website I regularly follow. This thread is IMHO far more interesting and helpful than the umpteenth 'what if?' thread a la 'What if the Tiger tank had 34 bolts instead of 33? How would that have changed the course of the war?' and contains more structured and useful facts than threads like "Was allied strategic bombing really effectfull?" or "Why was axis intelligence less reliable...".

Reichskriegsgericht -
Even for those of the younger generation who do not have "dozens and dozens of books and modeling magazines" and have no intention of buying any, the internet overflows with this information. For example, Googling "Luftwaffe Colour Schemes and Markings" produces 4,360 hits and Googling "Luftwaffe Aircraft Colour Profiles" yields 114,000 hits. Among these are links to numerous websites such as forum.12oclockhigh.net that have profuse detailed discussions on this subject. Lifting complete drawings and photos from one website and installing it under your own name on another website without proper crediting is illegal under international copyright law, I believe.

Re: Luftwaffe emblems photos
Larry D.,
I get the point. But a google hit doesn't automatically mean you will find useful information. Knowing I will find some emblems and photos here saves me time and effort. On other sites I will find other photos. Some photos I have seen a dozen times all over the web. So what? The web is a free country so to speak and you can create as many websites about Luftwaffe emblems as you wish. The existence of websites as forum.12oclockhigh.net doesn't mean they have a monopoly on this topic.
Regarding copyright: I doubt that more than 10% of any photos on other websites were put there respecting the copyright of the original photographer. Respecting the AHF rules is something different and should be done to avoid any trouble.
Thanks for counting me as a member of the younger generation. My grandchildren had a good laugh!

This photo was taken in 1943, south front meaning southern Russia (looks very dusty?). The symbol is hard to see but it looks like an elephants face. What do you think?

Hi Lfl 2!
That's the emblem of I. Gruppe Jagdgeschwader 27, based in North Africa in 1941/42. It shows a tiger's head in front of a map of Africa.

Thank you! I was rather convinced it was an elephant!
Here is one of II./KG 23, is the symbol on the engine cowl a personal design?
