req RAF Cosford's Me 210A...

hi,
visited this museum recently and noticed a winged flying boot? painted on a engine nacelle on the Me 410A any information on this?

It's the emblem of Zerstõrer Geschwader 26, it's believed the aircraft was assigned to that unit. As an aside, the prop blades didn't always have square tips (it didn't when I worked on the aircraft in the 80's), apparently one blade was damaged at some point when the aircraft was moved to RAF St.Athan, and to balance the blades for a proposed restoration to ground running status, the tips were removed from all the blades.
