This what Iknow about him :
Alfred Gross JG 26
Born 04/10/1919
WIA on 03/09/1944 13h30 at Neerhespen Belgium,flying FW 190 A8 " Green 4" wnr 171569 "
Shot down by RAF pilot Patrick Tuisley Coleman flying Spitfire MK XII EN229 EB-K. 41 SQN.
Before his crash he downed a Spitfire MK XII EN622 flown by WO Peter Warren Chattlin (buried in Geel Belgium)
After his crash Gross was hospitalised because severe injuries(on his legs?) From there on it's a little blury.
We know that he bailed out but they don't know where he was brought to.
When I'm right, his plane is still bured in Geetbets not far away from Neerhespen.
What is certain ,that he was the wingman of the famous Emil Lang who was killed the same time 03/09/1944 13h30
Alfred Gross died from TBC at 19/08/1947 (complications of his injuries?)
I want to know where he was hospitalised after his crash
