Actually, I have a second question. What was date of the last Me-163 mission of war? I have read April 22, 1945, three Me-163 sent up and claim one Lancaster, but then, the only Lancaster claim by Me-163 seems to be April 10, by the only Me-163 to mount the 50mm recoilless Jagerfaust system. Was last operational mission of Me-163 in war actually April 10, or did Me-163 fly again April 22 but maybe fail to score?

Re: One more question
April 22 seems very unlikely. I./JG 400 at Brandis reported 38 Me 163 (19 of them serviceable) on April 12. Some pilots were transferred to Me 262 units around this date. Two days later all aircraft were destroyed while personnel was ordered to join the ground forces.
Americans captured Brandis on April 16, reporting wrecks of 300 aircraft, including 40 Komets.

Thanks, Grzesio, that clears up one thing I've been wondering about. By the way, I notice you are from Poland, I am currently reading a very interesting history of Poland in the Second World War, The Eagle Unbowed by Halik Kochanski. Also recently saw Polish movie "Wolyn" (we have a Polish film festival every year here in Pittsburgh, PA, and a co-worker of mine grew up in Lodz so she keeps me informed of Polish events-- this one mainly featured remastered Wajda classics that I've already seen, for instance "Ashes and Diamonds" and "Promised Land:" unfortunately I wasn't able to get to the other two World War II movies, Dywizjon 303 and Miasto 44). Wolyn was a truly horrifying film about horrifying World War II events. After seeing that and Cold War recently I had to ask my Polish friend if there are any happy Polish movies.
