IV. Fliegerkorps - Nov 1942

So, I am reading, "Stopped at Stalingrad" and the author points out that in 25 Nov 1942, a new command is created called Luftwaffengruppe Kaukasus which was to control all Luftwaffe assets supporting combat efforts in the Caucasus. The IV. Fliegerkorps was sent to Salsk to "assist Axis relief efforts." Anybody have any idea what IV. Fliegerkorps was specifically doing from Nov 42 - Mar 43? Did it have any assigned units?

Hi Trey,

To complement Larry's answer, here are IV. Fliegerkorps operations for 20 January 1943:

112 sorties
57 Stukas, supporting 16. I.D. smashed strong enemy movements east of Rostow and Bataisk. Part of the sorties were against the enemy in the areas of Ssupremowka (1719) and Sherebkoff (0886).
40 fighters, low-level attacks in the battle area, sweeps
15 reconnaissance
Successes: two guns and ten trucks destroyed, twelve horse-drawn destroyed, one tank, twelve trucks and one armoured vehicle damaged, one light anti-aircraft battery silenced.
90,000 Flugblätter dropped.

Cheers,
Andrew A.
