IAR-80 paint scheme

does anyone out there know how the IAR-80 was painted? if you know please send me all the pics or links you can find, because i want more than one paint scheme. does anyone also know the most famous paint scheme?

Watch accurately this forum. There was a nice post from sir Robert Hurst on 10 dec '92.

thanks for the help guys. is the paint scheme on the top brown and green, or is it tan and green, because i've noticed several paint schemes?

Eduard, from memory, it was earth brown, but I will have to look it up.

Eduard, here is a fragment from Vanatorul IAR-80 by Dan Antoniu and George Cicos, Modelism, 2000:

Toate avioanele IAR-80/81 au iesit din fabrica in culori de camuflaj tipic englezesc astfel:
-extradosul: vopsit in benzi ondulate din stanga sus spre dreapta jos, vazut de sus, benzi de culoare verde-oliv inchis cu benzi de culoarea pamantului ars inchis

thanks victor. now i know the colors to use, because in the instructions it said tan instead of brown, but tan was too light, so i checked with you guys and it's brown.

sorry but i think you'll have to wait another week for the pics victor. my airbrush propellant ran out and i can't paint it. besides i've had a lot of problems with the model itself, especially the aerilons, they don't stand on the plane.
