Here are two photos of the Messerschmitt Me 264 V1 in flight, taken some time between December 1942 and late 1943 when the original Junkers Jumo 211 inline engines, pictured here, were swapped out for BMW 801G radials. Only one air-worthy prototype of this long-range bomber / reconnaissance plane was ever completed and photos of this big bird in the air seem to be pretty rare.
These snapshots came from the personal scrapbook of an American Army Air Corps pilot, a souvenir perhaps from his time in Europe during WWII. No idea who took the original photos. Probably someone involved with the flight test program, either Luftwaffe personnel or a Messerschmitt company employee.
