Feindflug explanation
I wonder if this 1000 feindflugzeug belongs to the pilot, the crew or the staffel, somebody can help with that?

Re: Feindflugzeug explanation
Hola Edgardo,
It doesn't say "Feindflugzeug", it says "Feindflug".
They congratulate to the 1000.th sortie of that crew.
Best regards Armin

Re: Feindflug explanation
The plaque congratulate only the crew of this Junkers Ju88 (according to this website):
https://ww2aircraft.net/forum/threads/j ... 159/page-6 for his 1000th mission against the ennemy (maybe in Russia)
Sorry for my poor english but it's not my native language.
Kindly regards
Prosper

Don´t worry, I can understand that you write perfectly.
By the way, my native language is spanish, not english.

Re: Feindflug explanation
Hello Edgardo,
Thank you very much
My native language is dutch but I read, write and understand very well the french language. I try to understand and write à little bit english and german, A very little bit Spanish and Italian.
The knowledge of my english and german is far away.
Kindly regards from Belgium
Prosper.
N.B. When I can help with something, it's always a real pleasure for me.

Re: Feindflug explanation
I doubt that it would be the pilot's or crew's 1000th Feindflug. So most likely it's the Staffel, Gruppe or even the Geschwader one. Since there is no emblem on the placard it will be very difficult to establish which one.

Rudi

Re: Feindflug explanation
I guess that Rudi is right, there are photos with 2,000, 4,000 and 10,000 Feindflüge, maybe the 200, 400 and 500 were for the pilots and the other for the units either Staffel or Gruppe.

Yes, Rudi must be right, the congratulations are for the entire "gruppe" I think.
