Type of aircraft

Post by marketc47 » 07 Jun 2020 14:16

As mentioned in a previous post, I am not an experton Luftwaffe and certainly don't know all the aicraft types. Wrekced ones are even more difficult. Maybe folks here can put names on type of aircraft from negatives of an Ameican Troop Carrier pilot. Scanned these the past few days.

Photo #1: Junkers Ju 290.
Photo #2: probably a Focke-Wulf Fw 190 of one variant or another.
Photo #3: Dornier Do 217.

Thanks for the input. Ju 290 and Do 217....unknown to me.
Thought of a Fw 190 in middle pic. But find it hard to be sure. Never thought of Me 262. So that is interesting as well.

As already stated the first is a Fw 290, The last is a Do 217. At first I went back and forth on the second pic as to it being a Fw 190 or a Me 262. After looking better though you see at the very front of the pic just before it ends at the nose of the aircraft there are multiple slots for the cannon on the nose. This makes me almost 100% sure it is the Me 262.
