How were Iron Crosses awarded to the flying personell (pilots) ?
Was there any given air victory counter, from which a Luftwaffe pilot would get his IC 2nd or 1st Class and the KC ? To be more specific, did a pilot of the Luftwaffe get awarded the Iron cross 2nd Class after for example 6 air victories, with the requirement for the the IC 1st class being 2x that number and for the Knights Cross 4x of that number with maybe a lowered acceptable air victory count if the enemy planes were heavy planes, such as tactical bombers, strategical bombers, transport planes etc. ?

There was a point system. Someone with more knowledge on the point system can answer...

This site extensively explains the Score/Decoration system, at least for Luftwaffe fighters ;
