Yes Larry. I know it very well but there's no mention of what I am lookong for. Marabù was a fighter control site, presumably in Southern Germany ( Bayern ). I came into it studying some reports of 15th Air Force. One of it ships intercepted the conversation between a german fighter and the groundstation ( Marabù ) during a mission to Immenstadt.

Hmmm................ I have a vague recollection of encountering that name years ago but I can't remember where. IIRC, it may have been in Austria or Slovenia. In any event, best wishes and I hope you find it!

Hi!

MARABU was a Funkmess-Stellung east of Magdeburg, probably west of the village of Möckern.
As far as I know, there are no remains left.

Best wishes and stay healthy

This makes really sense !
Standing on the chart, visible at the low-left corner, just South-West of Magdeburg there was a Jagerleit-Stellung ( roughly in Otterlseben ) with 5 Y-Stations and 1 Freya EGON. It could really be the ground station from which the interception of the bombers in question was directed.
