On 25 July 1944 the USAAC 31st Fighter Group[ 31st FG HQ/307th Fighter Squadron/308th Fighter Squadron/309th Fighter Squadron] vs Hans Rudel's SG.2 and Hungarian Stukas of 102/2. Dive Squadron and I./Stg 77.
Query:
Were USAF Claims of 28 Enemy aircraft? (27 Ju 87 and 1 Ju 52)
Were combined German/Hungarian losses about 9? (8 from 1/SG 77 AND 1 from II/SG 77)

Were US losses 30 {10 P-51 and 20 P-38)?
How many USAAC planes did the gemans/hungarians claim to have shot down?

25 Jul 44: the entire III. Gruppe/SG 77 was jumped this date over eastern Poland by a large formation of some 33 USAAF P-38 Lightnings from 82d Fighter Group and 34 P-51 Mustangs from 31st Fighter Group and virtually eliminated. The U.S. fighters were returning to Italy from a temporary stay in Ukraine (Operation “Frantic III”) and had just strafed Fp. Mielec/108 km ENE of Kraków where they claimed 12 fighters on the ground and 3 in the air. A few minutes later they happened upon the III./SG 77 formation and claimed 27 of the 44 Stukas encountered, including one Staffel of 9 that was annihilated.

There is an entire extraordinarily well-researched book on this subject:

Chorążykiewicz, Przemysław. Warplanes Over Southeastern Poland. Part One: The Slaughter of Stukas on 25 July 1944. Przemyśl: privately published, 2004. ISBN: 83-921502-0-1. Pb. 181p. Heavily illustrated. Dwgs.

Thanks for replying!

A 1948 USAAF History For Operation Frantic shows {p.315]
July 25,1944 7 EA claims at Airfield
July 26,1944 20 EA claims
https://www.google.com/books/edition/Th ... b=overview

Years ago I made the same query on two different websites of WW II aviation what the casualites/claims were:
{I thought to copy the responces)
On one website which doesnt exist anymore
break down the victory claims as
31st FGHQ -3
307th FS -18 [3 apeice were claimed by Yancey Tarrant; Jim Brooks; George McElroy)
308th FS -1
309th FS 4

The second website exists
for I/SG 77 8 losses {Hungarian Stukas of 102/2)
for II/SG77 1 losses
[Also among US Claims was a Ju.52}
SG2 no losses from enemy aircraft

Apparently the losses were indeed 27 Enemy AC shot down then that was indeed a substnsial losses for Stukas!

On 17 April 1945 SG 77 suffered heavy losses from attacks by US Fighters:
