Ingenieurkorps der Luftwaffe, ribbon bar definition

Post by Taymur » 27 Apr 2021 06:02

Now a question about the ribbon bar definition
(rank Flieger-Oberingenieur (aka air over engineer).
This painting was made from my grandfather.

Could someone describe me please, for which awards stands this ribbon bar;
unfotunately, the used colours (oilpaitinting) were darkened...

thanks for definition about this ribbon bar, in my opinion it begins with iron cross (1939) etc..

Hello Taymur.

Here something of help for you: https://www.pinterest.co.uk/hank648/ww2-german/

Could you tell me the name of your grand-father? Maybe it would be easier to find more about his War Medals with his full name. I have the images above in higher resolution if you need.

Unfortunately no, this coloured picture (original painted in oil)
and some b/w photos are the relicts from my grand-father.

For information: one of my first published digital issues
used some of this photos like a collage for coverart (published only for friends).

His name: Armin Streng; if I'm not wrong, during this time (1943-44) he was in the 50ths
One document (beginning of his military career) was an award (Urkunde) as Richtkanonier.

thanks for further solutions
