Looking for more information about Wilhelm Hofmann of JG 26

According to the profile on luftwaffe.cz, Wilhelm Hofmann had one of the most impressive careers in all the luftwaffe during the second world war. How accurate are Wilhelm Hofmann's claims? Of particular interest are his two P-51 claims against 354 FG on August 25th, 1944. Prior to his death in 1945 was Hofmann ever shot down?
