LW Erkennungsmarke, help needed

Hallo all,

I need your help about this Erkennungsmarke data:

- 20, GL/ Flak Abt (mot) II 411

What does "GL" means?

Afaik gl typically means geländegängig, "cross-country".

Not geländegängig probably- According to http://www.ww2.dk/ground/flak/flargt411.html II./Flak-Regiment 411 was le. mot. Sf.

yes, but GL looks like something unusual to standard Flak units...

Quite,
Generalluftzeugmeister would make sense in e.g. the administrative branch but very little for a standard unit.

Here is its Feldpostnummer with its official designation:

05490

(Mobilmachung-1.1.1940) Stab leichte Flak-Abteilung II/411,
(2.1.1940-27.4.1940) Stab II leichte Flak-Regiment 411,
(1.8.1943-23.3.1944) 19.10.1943 Stab II Flak-Regiment 411.

This designation trumps anything found on an Erkennungsmarke.
