Messerschmitt 109 rudder weight

Hello can I please have your thoughts on this item, I think it’s a mass balance weight off a 109 but would appreciate confirmation from the people who know.
It weighs 4kg (8.8 pounds) and is about 7.5 inches

That's a cool lil bit of history! Certainly looks like it might be the counter-weight. Appears it still has serial numbers too... I hope someone is able to confirm it!

Ok so a member on a different forum (WAF) has answered my question. The numbers across the bottom are as follows:
8 109 35 0900
8 stands for ‘airframe parts’
109 for BF109
35 0900 is the catalog number
