The German radar at the island Vardö in north Norway was operated by I./L.L. Rgt. 56. What does that mean? I have searched the Net without any other success that getting an indication that this was a unit of the Heer...

The heer had no radars!

I think your abbrevation should be I/L.N Rgt.....
I/ luftnachrichten regiment.

I also think that your number is missing a digit! The regiments in N-Norway usually belonged to 252LN rgt, but I`m not quite sure about Vardø
