German Early ramjets

Post by DarkRainbow » 17 Oct 2003 09:09

small Lorin-type ramjet being tested above a Dornier Do 17Z-2, Early 1942 (Taken from Luft46)

In the photo above, a dornier plane was used to test a Lorin ramjet.
Do you know any other aircrafts that used as test platforms like Do-17?
And do you know any technical information about these ramjets?

It may be tempting for me not to post on this thread because it is 20 years old, but the ramjet engine tested aboard a Do 17Z was designed by a German engineer named Otto Pabst, who undertook design studies for a ramjet engine beginning in 1941 while he worked at Focke-Wulf.
