March 8th 1944:

Oberleutnant Erich-Ernst Hirschfeld from 5./JG 300 Fw 190A-5 crashed in the area of Niederlands/Weerselo. Pilot bailed out and become one of the top aces of JG 300.

KIA on 28th of July 1944 when his Fw 190A-8/R8 was shot down. Erich bailed out of yellow 1 but his parachute failed to open.

As an aside, while serving in the US Navy I visited Malta in 1996. They had just discovered and salvaged the wreck of a shot down Bf-109 from the waters of Valletta Harbor. The remains of the pilot were still in the cockpit and, as I recall, were returned to Germany. The wreck is in a museum in Malta.
