My goal is to open these blasted tunnels to see what they contain.
I do not know when this task will be accomplished but I will not stop working on it until it is done.
I would gladly help you ! I'm also very interested to see what the Germans hid in their underground complexes ... The sad thing is, it would be hard for me to go to Germany every weekend to dig 'em open :(

Underground Factories & CIOS Reports.

#32

Post by Bunkermann » 28 Sep 2006, 15:18

I have been researching the Underground factories for 5 years now and have copies of most of the CIOS Reports on them. I also thought that there was not much interest in them. But a few years ago I printed 20 copies of the CIOS Reports for a group that I belong too here in the UK. Needless to say they sold out very quickly and several people keep asking me for a reprint on them.
There detail on the underground factories is extensive. These reports are hard to get hold of and many people have asked how I obtained them as if they are some kind of secret document?
Needless to say I am now in a position to print them along with a series of other CIOS Reports on the V1 and V2. Also my continued research has now got to the stage where it is also ready for publication. I will let you all know of publication dates etc. hopefully soon.
If anyone is interested in sharing information/research please get in touch.
Regards
Terry.

A good place to start research on the CIOS / BIOS and FIAT files is at the Ruhr University in Bochum. I went there last year and managed to copy the entire index of all these files.

Especially the work by CIOS Team Nr. 163 is of great imporatance to underground factories.

Here are some goodies for the underground specialists...

Warmest regards,

Patrick

CIOS Reports Underground Factories.

Hi Patrick
How big is the CIOS index that you have on these files? I have an American Report that indexes all the contents & companys that supplied the Mittelwerk, its output and a very detailed description of the factory.
Did you copy any of the reports? The Pictures that you have put up I have not seen before, what factory are they of?
Regards
Terry.

Hi Terry,

Thank you for the mail.

The most detailed report I have is from the CIOS Team 163, since they covered most of the underground factories in Thuringia in 1945. I can send you a copy either on CD or hardcopy if you need them.

The pictures (I have a lot more) came from a UK archive (I think PRO Kew).

Warmest regards,

Patrick
