Hello, found a little bit in the book, the Rise and Fall of the Luftwaffe. Because of the continued raids on Berlin, Goering promised Hitler a heavy raid on London. The raid took place on Jan. 22, 1944, with LT. Col. Peltz scaping together 524, Ju-188's Ju-88's, Me-410's
and He-177's. Of that number, 462 were serviceable. The attack was made
in two waves, 6 hours apart, with the bombers having difficulty finding the capital!! Only thirty tons of bombs fell within the city boundaries. The He-177's suffered heavy losses. On April 18th, 1944 another raid with 125
bombers had better success, on crossing the English coast, the bombers
released Dueppel radar reflective foil, found the pathfinder markers in London, and dropped their bombs. The bombers than dashed for the
channel coast, having only suffered nine losses. The raids were discontinued as the V-I flying bomb became available. thanks brustcan

There is a book solely focused on Operation Steinbock, titled The Last Blitz: Operation Steinbock, the Luftwaffe's Last Blitz on Britain – January to May 1944, which was published in 2011.
