Have someone any info about an opertion mde by KG1 in Italy, the 16th of september 1943 over Elba Island?
I know only that was involved a group of Kampffligerfuhrer LF2, so i try with KG 1, KG30, KG54, KG76.
Someone have a flugbuch talking about that mission in sep. 1943?
Thanks.

Hello Everyone,

Recently I have bought an award document for the Iron Cross First class to Uffz. Fritz Weber (5./Kampfgeschwader "Hindenburg" 1) and a promotion certificate.

I have found the name of him, together with two others. probably in the same aircraft [Ju 88]

Ofw. Fritz Weber.
Ofw. Ferdinand Loose.
Hptm. Klaus Mohr.

All three have been noted missing on 12.08.1943 in Scordia.

According to the website TracesofWar they all have been awarded the German Cross in Gold. [September 8 and 9 in 1942]

Sources: http://www.denkmalprojekt.org/2017/vl-k ... 2_l-z.html
https://www.tracesofwar.com/persons/275 ... -Fritz.htm

Small addition: Also, the name Fw Helmut Boos is mentioned on the website:
http://www.aircrewremembered.com/Kracke ... r%2C+klaus
Boos is not mentioned in the Verlustliste Kampfgeschwader 1.

Kind regards,
George

Hi guys
I have just bought some pictures and letters concerning Feldwebel Rudi Twartz born september 6th 1915 and killed april 3th 1941. He served in 4./Kampfgeschwader 1. I think he flew Ju88. His beobachter was named Maim(?). Twartz was decorated with E.K.I and E.K. II and the Frontflugspange. His father was killed during W.W.1
Does any of you have information about 4./ Kampfgeschwader 1 or this particular pilot?
