I don't remember if this pic was posted in this forum. I did a 'search' but couldn't find any post about him. The source of the pic is Corbis.
All I have is his last name.
Can anybody give me more info about this officer? Was he commander of U-1?

The pic is from Kapitän zur See Robert Bräutigam.
Is not a commander officer of U 1.
Is a Chef of U.A.K Unterseebootsabnahmekommando in Kiel
Is a 1935 or 1936 pic
The U.A.K control the process of commission and initial training of U-Boats into the Kriegsmarine.

Robert Bräutigam, * 18.06.1885; Crew 1904
Kapitän zur See 01.04.1939.
Leiter Unterssebootabnahmekommando 00.06.1935 - 00.10.1944.
Died 26.10.1944

until WW I: Kommandant U 4 and U 12.
As Kommandant U 12 he was succeeded by the famous Walter Forstmann on 06.08.1914.
