Hello,
Does anybody have any idea which aeroplanes the luftwaffe used to ferry spys accross Europe and into England and Ireland?
Equally does anyone know of any pilots who flew for this unit?
Thanks a lot,
Stefaan

In spring 1944 the I. Gruppe / KG 200 was created only to bring altogether about 1000 german agents in the hostile hinterland on behalf of Amt VI (SD-Ausland) / RSHA (Reichssicherheits-Hauptamt) and “militärische Abwehr”.
They flew Ju 290 and 390, Ar 232 B, BV 222 and Me 323, but also captured B 17 “Flying Fortress“ and B 24 “Liberator“ and others.
The Kampfgruppe z.b.V. 800 flew for the Demjansk pocket in 1942 and doesn' t belong to the units you are asking for. They flew Ju 52 and were transfered to II. / Luttransportgeschwader 2 in 1943.

Re: KG 200
The Junkers Ju 390 was not flown by the KG 200 unit because it was in the flight test phase. It is interesting to note that one B-17 of KG 200 with Luftwaffe Geschwaderkennung code A3+FB landed in Manises airport in Valencia, Spain, on June 27, 1944, and was interned by the Spanish government.Dieter Zinke wrote: ↑16 Dec 2004 10:20In spring 1944 the I.
