Since we haven't had a new question in over a month let's get this quiz started again with an aircraft ID:

Wow! I've seen the Bu-181 with a panzerfaust, but this one. If I'm correct, and the name seems to be on the photo, what in the world was the
Braunschweig LF-1 Zaunkönig doing with a panzerfaust? The Third Reich could not have been that desperate. Please, the details if you know them.

Yes your ID is absolutely correct. I too was surprised and the source is a bit sketchy whether the "light anti-attack" version was ever actually deployed in combat. Nonetheless it was proposed;
http://www.airwar.ru/enc/other2/lf1.htmlBy this time, interest in civil aircraft fell to zero for the Third Reich needed only fighting vehicles. And Herman Winter proposed a new concept of using LF.1. After minor modifications, the aircraft can be used as:
reconnaissance aircraft for submarines;
towing glider;
training aircraft;
light anti-attack aircraft.
In the latter case LF.1 is a lightweight and inexpensive to manufacture aircraft for applying a single assault against, and who do not mind it would lose in battle. As armament was provided one bazooka "Panzerfaust", mounted on the upper wing and the pilot as a personal weapon could take a carbine.
Your turn now!
Cheers,
Max

Quite a suggested finish for an experimental STOL aircraft! Anyone with a quiz question is welcome to post it.
