Here is yet another source that might be helpful:
ZAPF, Jürgen. Flugplätze der Luftwaffe 1934-1945 und was davon übrigblieb. 4 volumes published to date. Zweibrücken: Verlag VDM Heinz Nickel. [Comment: additive to the text are the maps, WW II aerial photos taken by both the Allies and the Luftwaffe, and current day photos on the ground in good color. There are very few WW II ground photos. While the above may sound somewhat limiting for the historian, Zapf has nicely assembled his material into a pleasing presentation. Still, 49,00 Euros each plus 10,00 Euros for S&H, though, for a 239-page paperback, especially at today’s exchange rate, may be a bit steep].
Available:
Band 1: Berlin & Brandenburg. ISBN 3-925480-52-8. 2001. Oversize. Pb. 400p. Profusely illustrated with 135 b/w maps and sketches, most of which are wartime and postwar aerial shots of the 70 airfields described, and 412 color photos. Some veteran “recollections” narratives. Euro 49,00.
Band 2: Sachsen. ISBN 3-925480-62-5. 2002. Oversize. Pb. 199p. Numerous maps and sketches, and 100+ color photos. Euro 49,00.
Band 3: Thüringen. ISBN 3-925480-80-3. 2003. Oversize. Pb. 240p. 105 b/w and 133 color photos. Maps and sketches. Euro 49,00.
Band 4: Sachsen-Anhalt. ISBN 3-925480-32-3. 2004. Oversize. Pb. 412p. 565 photos including color photos. Maps and sketches. Euro 49,00.

Re:
Check with historical archives or military museums that specialize in World War II or aviation history. They may have collections of aerial reconnaissance photos that you can access for research purposes. Some archives may offer online databases or digital collections, while others may require an in-person visit.Larry D. wrote: ↑08 Jan 2006 00:55Go here and read instructions......very expensive - $50-$60 per photo, I'm told:
