Great thread. Have a fascination regarding the Ju 87. For all it's faults, given the right circumstances, it was a deadly combat aircraft.

And of course the sand snake Stuka is a wonderful depiction.

I believe Polz ended up flying around a 1,000 sorties by wars end - and survived. A phenomenal number of missions. Anyone know how many he flew in the Junkers?

Is there any recorded victory by a Stuka tail gunner? That position looks positively useless, but perhaps one guy got lucky and took down another plain.
