I am studying intensively some Personalveränderungen and I find many officers without first names. At the moment I am focusing my interest on the Obersten, and just now I have 3 more. Do You have them ?
1) Ob. z.V. Braune Stalags-Kdt. First name ? Dienstlaufbahn available ?
2) Ob. Kastel Stalags-Kdt. First name ? Dienstlaufbahn available ?
3) Ob. Kühn (from Fz.Kdo. IX) Stalags-Kdt. First name ? Dienstlaufbahn available ?
Many thanks in advance for all, Rossano

The only Braune I know of with a Stalag connection was Luftwaffe Oberst Werner Braune, who replaced Erich Cordes as commandant of Stalag Luft III on 27.3.1944. He is misidentified as "Franz Braune" in a 2015 book titled From Commandant to Captive: The Memoirs of Stalag Luft III Commandant Col. Friedrich Wilhelm von Lindeiner genannt von Wildau With Postwar Interviews, Letters, and Testimony, and Wikipedia repeats this misidentification. Braune was transferred from the Luftwaffe to the Heer on 2.2.1945 with effect from 16.10.1944. He was an active Oberst, not a z.V. officer, so I have no idea if he is who you were looking for.

The only Oberst Kastel I have is Theodor Gustav Rudolf, *12.7.1888 in Brünn. He was an Austrian, so I don't have any details beyond dates of rank. No idea if he was a Stalag-Kommandant.
01.03.1939 char. Major z.V.
01.09.1939 m.W.v. 01.06.1939 Major mit RDA vom 01.09.1935
01.03.1941 Oberstleutnant
01.09.1942 Oberst

Oberst Kühn is Heinrich Moritz Richard, *9.4.1891 in Halle a.S. A highly decorated officer in World War I, he did not serve at the front in World War II.

01.02.1939 - 15.06.1941 Kommandeur Fz.Kdo. IX
16.06.1941 - 30.06.1941 Stab WEI Kassel

There was an Oberst a.D. Oskar Patermann, *8.11.1873. I have no idea if he is your guy, but it seems possible. As I have noted before, z.V. officer files are not in the captured German records.

I do not know anything about the other two.

The only Polack I have a file for is Generalmajor Fritz Polack. There was another Fritz Polack, 23.10.1880 - 23.03.1964, who was a Major i.G.a.D. Given his age and general staff experience, he might have been a z.V. officer.

The only Hornstein-Biethingen I have is Hans Wilhelm Alexander Edwin Freiherr v. Hornstein-Biethingen, * 22.12.1887 in Potsdam, † 15.12.1967 auf Bietingen. He was an infantry officer in World War I, but only served in Wehrersatzwesen in World War II with WBK Karlsruhe and WBK Rastatt.

01.09.1934 als Hauptmann a.D. b.d. Rw.Werbestelle Konstanz in das L-Offizierkorps übernommen
01.10.1934 Major a.D.
05.03.1935 Major (E)
03.01.1939 z. WBK Melk versetzt
01.06.1939 Oberstleutnant (12) u. St.Offz. beim WBK Karlsruhe
03.10.1939 m.d.W.d.G. d. Kdrs. d. WBK Karlsruhe
01.08.1940 m.d.W.d.G. d. Kdrs. d. WBK Rastatt
01.07.1942 Oberst (63) unter gleichztg. Überf. z.d. aktiv. Tr.Offz.
15.06.1943 Kdr. d. WBK Rastatt

Ob.(1.9.42) Lüttich
