Never heard, but you may be right (your source ?).

My candidate was - to be sure - Generalmajor z.V. Dr. phil. h.c. Otto William Heinrich Wagener
(SA-Gruppenführer)
at Rhodos.

He was Kommandant Ost-Ägäis and Militärgouverneur der italienischen Inseln des Dodekanes (Rhodos, Kos and Leros)

Alfred Krupp.“

C’ est à vous, Jean !

Bonsoir Dieter.
My source is "Die Deutsche Feldpost in Griechenland im II. Weltkrieg 1941-1945 " written by Byron a member of our forum.

I find the information in Band2, page 637- with 10 pictures of this "Parade am 20.4.1945" Panzer (Hptm.Schober), Marine, Luftwafe, Gren.Rgt Kreta, Kptltn.Strössinger Kommandeur Martine-Btl Kreta, etc....

I hope Byron could tell us his sources about this parade on 20.4.1945.

The new and easy question is:
He was the only one Generaloberstabsrichter .

Jean

Good morning!

My turn?

We are looking for a Wehrmacht-General who was born in South Tyrol, Austrian officer in WW1, member of the Villa-Giusti-Team in November 1918, than officer in the Austrian Bundesheer and late general in 1940, died in Germany soon after WW2.

Have fun...

Who was the General who said to Hitler:
(My Führer, really a sparrow is able to carry away on his tail your experience in the Great War !!).
Where and when ?

Merry Xmas to all! my friends!

No, it was not "Lakeitel", who was an ingratiating bootlicker. I' m searching for a critically scrutinizing general !
As a little help   :
It was on 13.03.1943 in the HQu of Heresgruppe Mitte in Krassny-Bor near Smolensk.

Merry Christmas
