Re: Hans Jeschonnek's brothers
I am not so sure about this, but according to a short memoria of Gertrud Sperl and records in ancestry.com, he might have four elder brothers, one younger sister and four younger half-brothers.kaares wrote:Anybody know how many brothers/sisters Hans Jeschonnek had?

In the photo above, we can also see Hans' elder brother Kurt (the guy holding a puppy), and it's one of the Kurt's last photos if not the very last one.
One more photo of young Hans (he's second from the right):

Re: Hans Jeschonnek
The saddest thing is: most of the children Friedrich Jeschonnek had with Klara, ended dying before their time. And each of their deaths was horrible in its own way. Kurt was the first to leave this world, Paul followed him,
One more photo of Hans (yes, it's his best-known one, but I'l still leave it here since this is the biggest resolution I've found):

Re: Hans Jeschonnek
I remember seeing resources indicating they also had a son named Karl, yet what happened to him remained unknown.
It also seems that most of Fritz’s male children regardless of mothers didn’t make it through the two wars. Klaus died young without kids. Didn’t know much about Horst. There should be another son Fritz had with Anny yet he’s most likely dead by 1942.
So only Gert and Charlotte were known to survive. Poor Jeschonnek family… At least poor old Fritz didn’t live to see his beloved son’s death.

Re: Hans Jeschonnek
Wow thx for that funny pic! It does look like him and I know he’s been at Lipetsk in 1932. Just bought the book thanks a lot.AtmaAiu wrote: ↑07 Oct 2019, 18:50Sounds more like a nightmare. I hope those we lack information of had it better....
This scan was taken (not by me) from book by Tikhonov, "A city declassified" (it's about Lipetsk), and the caption under the photo says that the young man who is sitting on the ball is actually Hans Jeschonnek.

Alex
