I noticed that Willy Hein also has a tank destruction badge.

Are you sure that’s a PVA Hardigan? From this one photo, I’m not convinced.
Daniel asked the question in post #10, but as far as I know, no response. So I’d say that it is possible that he did, but I don’t think that photo is clear enough to confirm it. In the photo that I have of Hein, he certainly does not wear a PVA.

It's not one photo, Michael Miller posted also one of Hein together with his bio here and you can clearly see it's a tank destruction badge. Yes, it's a dark one but it's probably one in cloth or there's even a chance it's a gold one (Silver tank on Gold).

Hi, guys

I don't able to discuss Hein's TDB because you clearly can view his pillow with all his medals. I don't think Hein's relatives forgot about this serious award.
I suppose it was just a playing of light

You can see now on this clear picture of Hein it's indeed a playing of light, how bizarre! Btw They made a mistake with this PAB''50'' instead of a ''75'' .

As far as I know, this is still an unidentified Oberfeldwebel. This is one of a series of photo’s taken on 14-11-1944 near Gielenkirchen, Germany.

Looking through my records a bit deeper, he does appear to have been identified as Willi Biesenbach.
