SS-Obersturmfuhrer Alois Obschil,Knight's Cross Holder,had two individual Tank Destruction Strips.

Interesting, the two PVA’s look like they’ve been added to (or enhanced on) the original, they look smaller than I’d expect. I have an old photo of a DKiG winner(?) where the DKiG has been added in a similar manner. I always wonder if the awards were added posthumously if their family didn’t have any photo’s of them with the awards.

Actually its me who have retouched the photo as Ülo didn´t have a photo of him as SS-St.Oj. later on another guy added the frontflugspange which Ülo also recieved. I think they also attached a EK but at the time I made this for him, he didn´t tell me that he earned the EK. The original photo was him as a private and with no awards.

Hauptmann Raimund Eckel
Eckel joined the Fallschirmtruppe in 1940, aged 19 and first saw service in Sanitäts-Kompanie.7.
In the spring of 1942 he joined FJR4 and at the end of 1943 took command of the regiments Panzerjäger Kompanie in the area of Tollo-Ortona in Italy, where the Kompanie took part in heavy defensive fighting where he personally destroyed 6 enemy tanks in close combat.
In March 1944 he took part in the second battle of Cassino and at the end of August 1944 took part in heavy fighting within the Grün-Linie against Canadian armour.
Eckel died in September 1957.

Rudi Krumm, born 16.07.1926 in Danzig,Polen early Germany. He go to the Airborne in 1943. The Medaliens he has became in the War.
