Oscha Kurt Bauer from AA of Leibstandarte is credited with 4 Kills.
And,according to Kurt Meyer's book, Hstuf Thiray (6/25Rgt SS) destroied 3 tanks on 6.7.44 and was killed while trying to destroy the fourth, but I don't know if he receive some TDB posthumously.

Who's he? He isn't in any of my files about the AA LAH. Any further details such as the company he served with?Ste wrote:Oscha Kurt Bauer from AA of Leibstandarte is credited with 4 Kills.

For Harro:
Check also to page 13.I found that name on a site of the LAH reenactors, in a page where they talk about the veterans that they are in contact.
I add two more pics, hope that someone could identify this Panzersoldiers.
For the second: http://www.saak.nl/, and then section "Panzers in Normandie 2"...he wears the DkiG, maybe this make the identification easier.

Re: Die Panzerknacker- the holders of the tank destruction badge
Hauptmann Peter Kiesgen stands in this topic for five awards. How many did he actually receive? It must be more then that. With each fifth award, the four received before should be replaced by a golden one. On the photo in this topic he wears five, so this must at least mean that one of them is a golden one. This should mean he has at the time the photo was taken, at least single handed destroyed nine tanks.

DEAR W.Vermeer
I DON'I THINK SO.
IF YOU LOOK TO VINCENZ PHOTO, HR SHOVRF 7 TDB AND WE KNOW THAT HIS TOTAL IS 21
IF YOU LOOK AT ANDING'S PHOTO HE HAD SIX IN SILVER, WHILE IN ANOTHER PHOTO HE HAD 3 IN GOLD AND 3 IN SILVER FOR HIS 18 KILL.
A QUESTION....DURING THE LAST DAYS, FRENCH SS DESTROYED 64 TANK IN BERLIN SINGLE HANDLY.
HOW IT'S POSSIBLE THAT THEY RECEIVED THE AWARD ON THOSE CHAOTIC DAYS? OR THEY SIMPLY CLAIMED SO?
CARLO

Re: Die Panzerknacker- the holders of the tank destruction badge
Sorry, but I just look at the award rulings. They simply state that not five silver ones were allowed to be worn. After receiving the PVA the fifth time, the four previously received should be taken off and replaced by a golden one which states five PVA received.
This is a problem I see more in this topic. The listings show moslty how many tanks presumably were destroyed without giving direct proof of revceiving a PVA for them. The photos used for identification do state they received the PVA, but often it is not clear to see if they were silver or gold. You should I think very precicely try to find out how many tanks they destroyed and state it with proof.
We now have the risk a list is being published that gives not an accurate vieuw on who received the badges, why, how many and when. To my vieuw we are not very historically correct doing research here. But that are just my two cents of opinion, noone has to agree off course.

caraqchi71,
your post here in capital letters again ! has been removed also.
This is a formal warning !
You are just going on to write in capital letters after I have asked you twice not to do that. I don't understand why you can't follow this small and easy thing.
