The Knight's cross holder is Fritz Fechner.

Hello, I came to this site because of typing the name Heribert Staher. Somebody was wondering about the second name on the document. I am the owner of the Konvolut of Heribert Stather and will look for the name of this soldier in the papers tonight. This Konvolut is extremely complete wit all military information of Heribert between 1933 and 1945 and includes his original jacket with the "panzerknacker" decal as well as his knights cross. an update for Ogfr. d. R. Ewald Jannes (9./Pz.Gren.Rgt. 28, KC on 30.04.1945):

The recommendation for the Ritterkreuz survived at the german archives at Freiburg (to be found within RH 7/280), my short notes on his successes (6 tanks altogether):

23.03.1945 near Bauerwitz = 1 Stalin
26.03.1945 near Loslau = 1 Stalin
16.04.1945 near Klobouk = 1 T34
17.04.1945 near Klobouk = 3 T34

So he got his Ritterkreuz for 6 tanks destroyed.

Ritterkreuz on 20.07.1944 with "Kommandant der Festung Platz Wilna"

Award recommedation for the K.C. from 13.07.1944 by Kdt. der Festung Wilna, Stahel:

„Uffz. Stoecks hat am 08.07.44 in Wilna bei einem recht bedrohlichen Panzerangriff 3 Panzer im Nahkampf abgeschossen. Erfolg war gefechtsentscheidend. Außerdem hat Uffz. Stoecks hiermit Gesamtzahl seiner Panzerabschüsse auf 14 erhöht.“

Note on the frontpage:
„Verleihung noch nicht bekanntgegeben, da vermisst! Rückfrage ob evtl. gefallen läuft! 21.07.44“
