He was a Leutnant der Reserve in Württemberg's Pionier-Bataillon Nr. 13 in World War I. He commanded several Minenwerfer units from 1914-1917 and then served in the Military Mission in Turkey from 1917-1918.

I believe that you want the birth date for OL Gotthold Walter Helmut Wegewitz of 6 Komp Inf Regt 72
He was born 15 Jan 1912 at Wechselburg,

I believe that this is the same man

Can add Lt.Otto Ziemssen on 4.9.39.

He was Adj. of II./AR 93 which fought with 4.Pz.Div.
