Hallo! Maybe this will satisfy you :
Siegfried Marseille is the father of the famous Luftwaffe ace, Hans-Joachim Marseille. He came from a family with French-Huguenot ancestry in Berlin-Charlottenburg, was an Army Officer during World War I, and later left the armed forces to join the Berlin Police force. Siegfried later rejoined the Army in 1933, and was promoted to General in 1935. Promoted again, he attained the rank of Generalmajor on 1 July 1941. He served on the Eastern front from the beginning of Operation Barbarossa. Siegfried Marseille was killed by partisans near Petrykaw on 29 January 1944. He was buried in the cemetery of Selasje.
He married to Charlotte, but then divorced not long after when Hans and Inge was still a child.
Sadly, both his son and daughters also died tragically. Hans-Joachim died in flying accident at North Africa (30 September 1942), while her daughter Ingeborg "Inge" had been "slain by a jealous lover" on November 1941.

Re: Generalmajor Siegfried Marseille
His relation with his famous son, Hans-Joachim, was never good. Re: Generalmajor Siegfried Marseille
The only thing I know about old man Marseille is that he was a friend of Alfred Bülowius. Someone says that's the reason why his son could offend Jeschonnek and get away with it, which is weird, as Bülowius hold command at LG 1 while the younger Marseille was serving at LG 2 at that time.
