There was a "Schule f. Fahnenjunker der Pz.Truppen" first in Wünsdorf then in Ohrdruf and later in Groß Glienicke. Is it known from/to when it (officially as such) exhisted ?
There was also a "Schule f. Fahnenjunker der Pz.Truppen" in Zossen. Is it known from/to when it (officially as such) exhisted ?

The GL signature doesn't really look like Philipp, but I suppose it could be.

The bottom signature is Walter Kuntze.

Effectively GL. Philipp was on 7.2.44 Kdr. of the school (and that must be his signature…)
As Kdr. of Lehrstab A I have from 1.2.44 (but as the doc. is dated 23.1.44 it could be that he took over the post earlier ?) Oberst Ernst (although the signature looks more like Kunz……)

This exchange of commands effective 01.06.1941 between Kraeber (Kdr. Sch. Lehrg.) and von Köppen (Kdr. Pz. R. 33) took place in the same PV (29.05.1941) with which v. Lenski and v. Vaerst exchanged commands. So the goal was to task officers from the rear with commands in front. However whilst the exchange of von Lenski and von Vaerst was done with "Beauftragung", the exchange of von Köppen and von Kraeber was done with "Ernennung" (appointment).

In the PV of 22.09.1941 effective 01.09.1941 Kraeber and v. Koeppen exchanged back to their former positions.

So it should read:

According to HPA PV of 21 Jun 1940, Ewald Kraeber (Kommandeur der Schießlehrgänge an der Panzertruppenschule) exchanged positions with Hans Voigt (Kommandeur, Panzer-Regiment 4) from 10 Jun 1940 until 31 Jul 1940.

According to HPA PV of 30 Nov 1940, Obst. Paul Matic von Dravodol was named Kommandeur der Wehrkreis-Reit- und Fahrschule VIII in Militsch mit Wirkung vom 05 Dec 1940.

The PV also reads "Matić-Dravodol". I was going by an earlier post in which it was said that the correct name is Matic von Dravodol. But, I really don't know which name is correct.

I read this as "vers. Kdr. d. Sch. d. Pz. Tr. als stellv. Kdr.", but the Kdr was always a general (Hauenschild, then Westhoven).

Hi,

have found a reference to three officers that in early 1945 were described as:

Hptm. Dill, Fahnenjunkerschule 2 der Panzertruppen;
Hptm. Giffel, Kdr. Fahnenjunkerschule der Panzertruppen;
Hptm. Klein, Infanterieschule Döberitz;

I've found a Stefan Giffel, but not enough to decide if he is the right person ... can anyone help?
