Hello, im new to the forum. This is a really cool site.
I had a distant relative named Ernst Wilhelm Ihrig who was killed near Stalingrad in early 1942. He was a pilot and a knights cross recipient
and i have come to a stoping point of info. thats all i know.
Does anyone know where i could find some more info or point me into the right direction on where or what i should research.
My grandfather is 79 and was a career US Navy pilot so he would be thrilled to know any more info. I know my im quite limited on my research because it was common in that time for thing not to be as documented.
Thanks.
