You're absolutely right about the awards. I posted without thinking again. Guess Number two;

Werner Kienitz.

Freiherr: In you're request 'A Younger Schack' which photo are you quering? I had the 3rd photo saved as Johann Blücher, don't where or how. If it's wrong let me know.

Looks like Paul Fanger.

Hi Gareth,

Wow long time no speak, old boy.

Regarding "A younger Schack", I was looking for ID of the general on the extreme right. It was originally posted by Valdis. I believe it was first seen on Eaby about, say, 1.5 years ago. Again I see your angle in terms of a connection between the gen in question and Johann von Blücher but von Blücher had a much thinner face than that from the one and only pic in Biblio. I have one more blurry pic of v Blücher to support my hypothesis. The Weingart I posted (on the left of the pair obviously) was captioned when offered and IMHO the mysterious gen was him.

Regarding Fanger, since then I have come to the conclusion that it was Hans Fechter -- but other than you, Harmel and Dieter, ID-ing KM admirals is kind of like talking to yourself in the mirror and this is THE premier site in the world so I couldn't be bothered to post to straighten that out. A hair-line does not an admiral make but it was central parting: Fechter had it but not Fanger.

Regarding Kienitz, both you and either Miocid (or Jaime at the other forum?) said so. I will go along

Cheers
Freiherr

According to this link http://www.rommel-lebt.com/unidentified ... photo.html the man in the picture is Werner Kempf. I'm pretty sure it's not him, so who is he, any ideas?

Many thanks Freiherr.
Again from the same web site. Caption says it´s General Kortzfleisch but I'm not sure it's him. Could anybody confirm or correct?

I have since gotten a few shots of Christian Hansen from some RK verleihung scenes from Rick White's site that it had to be him. So I offer an alternative, Christian Hansen.
