General on extreme right looks more like Curt Hasse but he was wearing an Honorary Colonel's collar patches? So Gienanth who was Honorary Colonel of Reiter Rgt 13? Hard to tell as he was much shorter than AH and AH was average height. A pic from the Bundearchiv showed Gienanth with Daluege (a very tall man) and Hans Frank and Gienanth strikes me as a little taller.

Nope, that's Fangio's man. PiBtl 5 was part of 5 JG Div.

Sure I know who your man was as well. Just need to go through all the Johanitter winners.

Hi Freiherr,

Yeah, that was how I went about it as well. I died about half way through of exhaustion. I was scrolling down the Generals listing at http://www.unithistories.com/units_inde ... sonsx.html attempting to match the face whenever the award was indicated in the right hand column. Is there a more efficient way to do it. I know, I know, I'm pathetic. :D

I am just as pathetic :P :P

I have everything in Excel. Work in progress. Hope one day can convert to relational data base ( I have some in Access) and this could be easier.

Hi!
I think the picture posted by Walküre shows General der Artillerie Edgar THEISSEN.
Regards.

Despite the facial resemblance, unfortunately Theissen didn't have the Johanniter or the PLM.

Here is a pic of Christian Hansen from Ebay. It was severely butchered but I thought I should give this a bit of restoration since it is such a nice shot even though I am not very good at it. This takes us away from that pathetic murky portrait shot of Hansen that we keep seeing over and over again :P

Is he so unknown or the pic is too bad?

Hello Lit. It looks like Wolfgang Lange but the dates don't add up. I'm stumped.
