Re: Request for identification
Hello freiherr,
Was your second to last post in reference to my request for identification?

Re: Request for identification
Nope, that's Fangio's man. PiBtl 5 was part of 5 JG Div.
Sure I know who your man was as well. Just need to go through all the Johanitter winners.
Cheers

Yeah, that was how I went about it as well. I died about half way through of exhaustion. I was scrolling down the Generals listing at http://www.unithistories.com/units_inde ... sonsx.html attempting to match the face whenever the award was indicated in the right hand column. Is there a more efficient way to do it. I know, I know, I'm pathetic.
Re: Request for identification
I am just as pathetic
I have everything in Excel. Work in progress. Hope one day can convert to relational data base ( I have some in Access) and this could be easier.

Re: Request for identification
Hi!
I think the picture posted by Walküre shows General der Artillerie Edgar THEISSEN.
Regards.

Re: Request for identification
Despite the facial resemblance, unfortunately Theissen didn't have the Johanniter or the PLM.
Here is a pic of Christian Hansen from Ebay. It was severely butchered but I thought I should give this a bit of restoration since it is such a nice shot even though I am not very good at it. This takes us away from that pathetic murky portrait shot of Hansen that we keep seeing over and over again

Re: Request for identification
Hello Lit. It looks like Wolfgang Lange but the dates don't add up. I'm stumped.
Re: Request for identification
I need to confirm the complete name of a ROA General and on the other hand ID a General.
First pic: General Shilenko, identified by Dieter Zinke on page 62:
http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... o#p1057669
I need to confirm if this is Generalleutnant Georgij Nikolajewič Žilenkow. I mean, is it the same man (Shilenko/Zilenkow)?
Second pic: this one was posted by 'Mark Mac' (wehrmacht-awards.com forum). It shows Friedrich Seibert (Kdr 44.Inf Div), unknown and GFM Reichenau. Who's the General in the middle? I couldn't find any Grl Seibert so I suppose the first man to the left is Seibert (?) and his an Oberst (?). Am I right?

Thanks for some clue anyway.Gareth Collins wrote:Hello Lit. It looks like Wolfgang Lange but the dates don't add up. I'm stumped.
Here is another pic from the Lithuanian war time weekly "Savaite", taken during decoration (KVK2) of the 23 men from the 13th Schuma Lit. Btln. on 1943 09 01, suppose by the one of major commanders of 16. Armee.
First from the left is cpt. Jonas Semaska. Is it Generalfeldmarshall Ernst Busch - first from the right?

Re: Request for identification
Hi!
The pic was taken between 19/07/1940 and 17/01/1942 and is picturing the Cdr. 44. Division, Friedrich Siebert in the middle and von Reichenau (right). I don´t know who the guy left is.Second pic: this one was posted by 'Mark Mac' (wehrmacht-awards.com forum). It shows Friedrich Seibert (Kdr 44.Inf Div), unknown and GFM Reichenau.
