Bake,

I would say Generaloberst Paul Ewald von Kleist.

Alex and Freiherr,

How about General der Infanterie Erich ABRAHAM instead of König and von Scheele?

Cheers,

Gregg.

Sorry for misplacing the identification request in a separate post first
I hope, this thread is a right place :D

In this photo from the book by David M. Glantz "The siege of Leningrad 1941—1944" are Generaloberst Erich Hoepner (Pz. Gr. 4), General d. Panzertruppen Georg-Hans Reinhardt (XXXXI. Pz. Korps), two officers, and a man probably from Prop. Ko. 694 (in the background).
Could one name these two officers?

Regards, Denis

Offizier with binoculars next to Hoepner was most likely his Ia Joachim v Schoen Angerer

Nice pic of v Kielmansegg, Hoepner, v Schoen Angerer, Landgraf

Hello freiherr

Thank you for your answer, it sounds quite reasonable.

But I have seen this photo with other description. Following Horst Scheibert ("Die 6. Panzer-Division 1937—1945", Podzun, 1975) the fourth offizier here (besides Kielmansegg, Hoepner, and Landgraf) is Hauptmann Strack. What do you think about this?

Very possible. Frankly I have more confidence in your man in the Reinhardt Hoepner pic as being v S-A than my guess of v S-A being in the Hoepner Landgraf pic. I very vaguely recall seeing the man in question being captioned as a Hptm

The pictures of german generals in Norway posted recently by Simon Orchard made me remember the unidentified generals in Norway that were in my files. I hope they will be identified.
Here they are.

Hi Miocid,

First man was most likely from Bremen. Wintergerst was a lot skinnier than that.
