The moderator had to split the following post
Bjørn from Norway wrote:Thank you so much!

Yes, the pictures are somewhat larger, but not very high quality.
They are from a book (1943) about Quislings trip to North Norway!

Seems that Menkel is not wearing his German Cross.

Bjørn

From a PiBtl 43 album... there was a pic of Hans Bessel so accuracy was there. Now PiBtl 43 had no parent division and was raied in Brandenburg and was used to supply Pi troops to 3 ID and 14 ID. Hans Bessel was kmdr 15.10.35 to 1.4.36. Not sure if it was the commander in the pics with a sword. But the general was neither Curt Haase or Kress v Kressenstein

Any idea?

Cheers
Freiherr

Last remaining general from Setermoen posted by Bjorn was GenMj Karl v Beeren, Kmdr 280 Div, also of LXXI Corp. This division joined in April of 1942 and was left out of ealier OBBs. He had lost a bit of weight here but the left ear lobe was an exact match against portrait from Biblio.

Hello,

I DO NOT think that Busch is on the picture next to Lutz... This man doesn't look like him.

So, is it Günther-Eberhardt Wisliceny like John said, or Werner Ostendorff, Dieter?

I think, to see from the nose, it's more like Ostendorff than Wisliceny...

I don't mean to be rude but can we keep this thread for generals. Poor Bernd is doing a thankless job trying to get all the RK -references and this is not helping.

Cheers
