Hi Alex,

Not 100% sure, but looks like Conrad Albrecht.

Here are 2 pics of the same General from ebay.de. Anyone any ideas please?

Best regards,

just in case he has not been identified yet, the "Gozilla".jpg on page 183 this thread seems to be Generalleutnant Bernhard (Eberhard) von Claer http://www.geocities.com/~orion47/WEHRM ... LHELM.html .
at least the unithistories.com website uses this picture for him.

kind regards,
Matteus

I don't agree it was v Claer at all. Cegesoma, notorious for its very shoddy identification, was in my opinion right this time. It said Hederich. And look at Dieter's pic from Sammlung Krug. As to Hans Houterman, it is the other way round. He is right in very many cases. But in my opinion he is wrong in this case. And by now I can point to quite a few mis-identifications at his website. Just like Biblio. No one is infallible

Cheers

How about this one. Posted by "Jason von Z" ( http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com forum). A first identification was given (don´t remember who), from left to right:
-StBFhr Joseph Darnard (Milice or Secret Police of Vichy France)
-GM Johannes Kaliebe (PiFu AOK19)
-GL Kurt Feldt (MB SW France -what´s MB?-)
-GL Fritz von Brodowski (Kmdt z MB SW France and Kdr OFK 588 -what´s OFK?-)

But further on, a spanish member of that forum, Esteban, gives a different a different id for two of the german generals, from left to right:
-Darnard
-GL Neubronn
-GdArt Walter Lucht
-GL von Brodowski

Which is the correct id?
Thanks to a lead from Alex, plus the following, I can confirm general on the left was indeed Neubronn, Dt Gen b Marechal Pétain, and not Kaliebe

Who are the two Heer generals?

#3599

Post by ttvon » 17 May 2011, 06:55

Hi,
Someone told me the Luftwaffen officer(Left 2) is Josef Beppo Schmid.
But who are the two Heer generals standing beside him?
When is the pic taken?
Is 2 von Rundstedt?

Best

1 - Wilhelm Adam (1877-1949)
2 - Gerd von Rundstedt

Hello, I do not know who general #2 is, but he does not look like von Rundstedt.
