Re: Request for Identification of Generals and Admirals
Hello folks,
Are these guys Generals? And can you identify them?
How do you distinguish between the collar tabs of a Luftwaffe Oberst and a General der Flieger, for example?
Thanks,
Matt.

Re: Request for Identification of Generals and Admirals
@mattboy: Luftwaffe-Generale had white collar tabs (Flak red ones I remember?). But a very good distinction are the shoulderboards. Staff officers boards had 6 Loops of "Litze" and Generals just 5 (the one around the button included).

Hello,
I think "Heer general" on pages 317 (http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... l#p1814372) and 319 (http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... l#p1811148) is the NOT Walter Pretzel.
On my opinion it is Militärverwaltungschef Dr.rer.pol. Gustav Schlotterer.
He is wearing the German army military administration uniform and his shoulderboards have the standard HV (Heeres Verwaltung) cyphers with one "star". (photo is attached).

I agree!
I don't think so! On the pages 317 and 319 is not Schlotterer. There is probably an Intendant with "HV" on his shoulderbords.Andrey wrote:On my opinion it is Militärverwaltungschef Dr.rer.pol. Gustav Schlotterer.

See my pic!
A Kriegs/Militärverwaltungschef has still lighter collar patches and a Wehrmacht-eagle [not "HV"] on his shoulder boards. See: http://www.militaria-fundforum.de/showt ... anguage=es
Schlotterer is only on page 397!
Cheers
