@8: on 04.03.43 with the 250.ID there also were the 24.ID, 170.ID, 215.ID
Of the 3 Div.Kdre. the only one who could possibly match is GM. Frankewitz (215.ID), but I´m not sure. Your opinion ?
@8 - With Emilio ESTEBAN-INFANTES is Hellmuth REYMANN.
@5 - Generalmajor Alfred PETRY as POW
@6 - I'd say is Walter KEINER with Brauchitsch

Hello LaSi, thanks ! This is anyhow very strange
@8: Reymann commanded the 212.ID and this Division was no "Nachbardiv."; Tessin's Kriegsglied. reads :
"4.3.43 - L: 170, 215, SS Brig. 2, 250, 24, SS Pol. - LIV: 5. Geb., l, 223 - XXVI: 28, 21, 11, 212"
Esteban's 250.ID was part of the L.AK, in the centre. The 212.ID was part of the LIV.AK, far at right.
Maybe somebody can read the KTB of the 250.ID (or/and of the 212.ID) on 12.3.43........

The two generals in the attached and well known picture have not yet been identified, as far as I know.
Let me make a guess and identify the general on the left as Generalmajor Fritz SCHOENFELDER.
The resemblance with the general in the other picture is IMHO over 90%.
Cheers.

Bravo Miocid, it might be. But which source reads that the first photo is Fritz "Schönfelder" ? Can You post it again without red lines on it ?
If he is Schönfelder, could maybe the other general be identified too ?
Thanks, Rossano
P.S.: I just realized that I made a mistake above, i.e. ". The 212.ID was part of the XXVI.AK......(so correct)"

According to my files, the picture with Fritz SCHOENFELDER alone was auctioned in e-bay in september 2011.
Unless that somebody has got a program to get rid of the water marks we´ll have to live with them.
I think I´m getting closer to be able to identify the other general.

Cheers.

Gregg, are You sure ? A part the face which looks a little similar to E. Fiedler (but I am not sure that it is really him) there is also a different particular. The ribbon bar on Fiedler´s breast is narrower and longer (and with different colors) than the one showed on the breast of the general above. This element alone should indicate that it is not him.

Just a hint for the two - I have them labeled as Generalleutnant Eugen WURSTER(left) and Generalmajor Heinz KATTNER(right).

Wow, what a responce !!
Please do read again what I wrote - that it is just a hint and that I have them labeled as such and I DID NOT claim that they realy are those two generals !!
It was just a suggestion and I did't want to upset anyone with it. Am I allowed to do that or must I ask for your permision?
And now I hope we are done with using "!" too.

Anyway Thank you for that information.
