Who is this General?

Hi graveland,

general on the right on page 878, post #13169; is Generalleutnant Georg von Majewski (1888-1945), Kommandant von Pilsen (Protektorat Böhmen und Mähren). In the center is Gauleiter of Reichsgau Sudetenland. Majewski committed suicide shortly following the signing of surrender document to the hands of U.S. Forces on May 6, 1945.

Best regards

Tony

Thank you, Tony.

I thought it could be him, but there is not a good photo to compare with. By the way, we can see (behind him) to General Wilhelm Behrens (Kommandeur der Division Nr. 193, Pilsen).

To add more doubts about the identity of this general... Wilhelm Behrens was the Kommandeur der Division Nr. 193 in Pilsen until June, 1944, while Majewski was appointed Kommandant von Pilsen on November, 1944. And it is obvious that it is not Peter Hermann, the previous Kommandant.

Hello Bern
How can You say that ? Do You have another (better/closer) photo of Koelitz for comparison ? If so, will You kindly post it ?
Thanks, Rossano
