Re: Request for Identification of Generals and Admirals
A small update! I'm pretty sure the general in the second photo is Kurt Spemann. Contrary to the caption of the 2nd photo in the book The Vlasov Case, it was not taken in May 1944 but in May 1943. I recently found in the military archives in Freiburg a report by Spemann about Andrey Vlasov's visit to the town of Szoltzy on May 5, 1943. In the document, he explains that he accompanied Vlasov on a visit to the newspaper "Sa Rodinu" which can be seen in the background. So I'm almost sure that this photo was taken on this occasion. I imagine that the first photo was taken the same day.graveland wrote: ↑07 Jul 2021 12:42However, I agree with Bern: Kurt Spemann (photo taken in 1943).Nute Gunray wrote: ↑07 Jul 2021 12:22I will try to find more informations on the pictures !graveland wrote: ↑04 Jul 2021 16:15In my opinion, they are not the same person (Page 864).Nute Gunray wrote: ↑03 Jul 2021 13:35Thanks for the name ! I also believe the 2 generals on the pictures are the same person. However, according to the books, the first picture was taken in 1943 ans the other one in 1944.Bern Wimmera wrote: ↑01 Jul 2021 15:50Hi Everybody,
Here is another Photo of same occasion I think,
I'm sure the Gen. is Kurt Spemann
Thanks
