SS-Gruppenführer behind Göring could be Paul Körner.

I found the picture on : http://www.rommel-lebt.com/7-generals--post-car.html

Can anyone identify whose this 7 Generals are? The caption says : I do not know who any of these Generals are. The photo has writing on the back in German that I can't read. It does say Potsdam 1938.

Hi!

The officer on the extreme left looks like Ernst Busch. I don't think the other officers are of General rank.

At least two were eventually generals.

This was Busch's boys from 23 ID. Busch (1L) was div kmdr. Fischer v Weikensthal (4L) was Kmdr 9 IR. Blümke (Ex-R) was Busch's Ia.

I´m sorry to diasgree with our friend Freiherr. Among the group of officers with BUSCH there two future generala :
Third fron left, the later Generaloberst Johannes FRIESSNER.
Fourth from left, the later General der Infanterie Wilhelm WETZEL.
Very likely the picture was taken when WETZEL was Kommandat of the Kriegsschule in Dresden and FRIESSNER one of the Teachers/Instructors.
By the way, some weeks ago it was posted on the wehrmacht-awards forum the attached picturte that I believe shows Wilhelm WETZEL as a divisionm commander at the beginning of the Russia campaign.

About Göring's pic with Wever (amazing to have him !!!):

On the far left is probably Sperrle. Has anybody noticed that there is a general officer hidden by the man who talks to HG ?

If it's Sperrle, we can suppose that Göring IS General der Flieger here.

HG became General der Flieger on the 1st March of 1935 ; Sperrle Generalmajor on the 1st of Oct 1935.

The uniform changed but when ? I guess that this pic is from 1936, given the weather, before the 1st of April when Wever got promoted to Generalleutnant.

miocid,

I think your general is Generalleutnant Friedrich ZICKWOLFF. Naturally, it is only my simple opinion.

Cheers,

Yes, I missed Friessner. So it would be Busch visiting KS Potsdam.

As to the Wetzel (possible) pic, not Wetzel -- not his glasses or ears -- or Zickwolf. I think it was more likely Siegfried v Rekowski.

From "Wydawnictwo Militaria 174 Großdeutschland Vol I". The caption says Wilhelm Heye and Schreiber are shown in this pic but who's the other General (extreme left)?

Hi Fangio,

The Polish text identifies the officer as General Fleck:

Generalleutnant Wolfgang FLECK (1934: Char. Gen. der Inf.) (16 May 1879 - 16 February 1939)
1 Feb 1929 - 1 May 1931: Commander of Infantry, Wehrkreis III
1 May 1931 - 30 Sep 1934: General Officer Commanding, Wehrkreis VI & Commanding Officer, 6. Division

Hi AJK!

You're right. I didn't pay attention to the polish text, just the english one. Thanks for the additional information.

Let's see this one. I've seen his face many times but I can´t put a name to this General.

Great pic of Wolfgang Fleck. The Obst Schreiber next to him must be later GenLt Kurt Schreiber. According to Keilig, Schreiber was promoted GenMj 1.10.29 and became Kmdt of Berlin on 1.2.30. Fleck was InfFhr III (so Berlin with the Wachtruppe) until 01.05.31.

However, this Obst seems to bear no resemblance the tiny pis of Kurt Schreiber at Hans Houterman's site. Keilig also did not mention Johanniter Order as an award. This could be a clue.

Hi!

According to my Stellenbesetzung of Wachtruppe Berlin/Wachregiment Berlin the Commander at this time was v. Tiedemann, a Johanniter and recipient of the Hohenzollern house order ... although I am not too sure facialwise. Schreiber was not a Johanniter.

01.10.1921: Schade (Artur)
01.02.1927: von Puttkamer (Jesko)
01.10.1929: von Tiedemann (Karl)
01.04.1932: von Keiser (Erich)
15.10.1935: Freiherr von und zu Gilsa (Werner)
06.10.1936: von Alten (Hans)
01.06.1939: von Stockhausen (Wilhelm Hunold)
