Right! That's it! I officially retire from pathetically attempting to identify anyone. Even my own mother is a struggle. Could be a medical condition. I know these men inside out. Yet post a picture with no name and I turn into a blind Forrest Gump. If I try to identify anyone else please ban me from the forums. It's for my own good.

Right now my brain is working. So I would say rigth behind Ruoff was de Angelis Kmdr XXXXIV Korps and next to him on the left Emil Vogel Kmdr 101 JG Div... I am actually drinking red wine right now :P

Cheers
Freiherr

BTW, Hanneken was Haupt Abteilung Leiter z Reichswirtschaftsministerium then and ABR website translates Bastian as being President of the Reichs Welfare and Supply Court. Were these the same entity?

Sent SOS to Jürgen already.... waiting for him to confirm on Fahnert's medal bar

Cheers

Elwyn,

I am sorry for not replying earlier. According to the rank lists it appears to be Fahnert. In my opinion the bar is showing: EK2, PK4x, SA3axmKr, SA3ax (??), 4 Other Crosses/Medals, ÖM3K. The breast is showing: EK1 and Comm. Badge. He is not wearing the SD because I think it was not allowed after introduction of the Wehrmacht service cross.

To All: Please enjoy Bastians medal bar. It will not happen that often that one can see all 3 Hanseatic crosses awarded to one person, lined up in a bar ... in colour.

Thanks for Tittel (but at that time he commanded the 169.Div. in Finland).
Maybe You can help me again with photo 33 : aus “RKT-GebTr.”, end 41 or beginning 42 (or ev. later) who is the General with v.Hirschfeld ? Rossano

That's Friedrich Volckamer v Kirchensittenbach.

I believe he and Hirschfeld was were at the Gästehaus der Reichsjungenführung

BTW, I agree with Gareth that it was Tittel.

Cheers
Freiherr
