Request for Identification of Generals and Admirals
Re: Request for Identification of Generals and Admirals
Yes, Seifert definitely. Still need some conviction on the other suggestions. This was a funeral procession in Heimat -- you can see a WW1 pickelhaube. Guess they didn't travel much outside of Germany unless you went to the Kaiser's funeral in Doorn.

Re: Request for Identification of Generals and Admirals
There is better quality of same pic posted by Rudolf on PP183 of this thread. As Miocid suggested, with more pics on PP185, it was Gerhard Feyerabend. If you look closely at the way he overlapped his EK II ribbon with WW1 Spange over his Winterschlacht ribbon, it exactly matched the portrait in Biblio Verlag.

Hi,
..."Second row: 1L looks like Walther Fischer von Weikersthal". Well, I think he is Hermann von Hanneken.

Re: Request for Identification of Generals and Admirals
I second that. Hanneken was Hauptabteilungleiter z Reichswirtschaftsministerium, then VerbingdungsOffz OKH z Reichswirtschaftsministerium, a planner.

Re: Request for Identification of Generals and Admirals
I believe he is not Dönitz but Otto Schniewind. And was it Hans-Georg von Friedeburg behind him?Karl Dönitz (left) on the warship, accompanied by officers salute in honor of the Führer
